New MLM

Warm market lists, coffee shop presentations, hotel meetings...."old school" mlm. New mlm is a completely different way of doing business. As opposed to making a list of everybody that you know and then filtering through them one by one to see if there is anyone who is even interested in a home based business, new mlm practitioners are only interested in dealing with people who have come to them specifically looking for a business opportunity.

If you have spent any time at all in mlm than you have heard phrases like..."do it for your children's children", or "ground floor opportunity" or my personal favorite, "the founders aren't in this for the money, they just want to help people". A little tip, if some who owns a business tells you they are not in it for the money, they are either lying or about to go broke. That's the whole point of a business..to make money.

New mlm is a professional approach to what has historically been a very unprofessional industry. No catch phrases, no lists of friends and family to harass, just a strait forward approach to a business that when done properly, can actually be quite lucrative.

So what does someone with a new mlm mindset do differently? Firstly, they consider the source. Just because you up-line tells you to do something doesn't mean you should do it. In fact, quite frequently you should consider doing the opposite. Think about it. If your sponsor is driving a crappy car, living in a so so house, and only making $40,000 a year, how in the world are they qualified to teach you how to run a successful business?

The second thing to a new mlm approach is to start getting a business education....not a mlm education, a business education. There is a big difference. Learn marketing, and learn how to sell. Regardless of what you may be told by your new up-line, products do not sell themselves.

Overall, the new mlm approach is one of common sense. Don't get brainwashed into that "warm and fuzzy" mlm mindset, approach your business as just that, a business, and watch your profits explode.
